In order to use the basic features of CharterAce, it is not necessary to have a Bill.Com account. Only users who need to interact with sensitive data or send payments need to have an actual Bill.Com account. Please be aware, that there may be an additional charge passed on from Bill.Com for setting up additional users in their system.
Accept Invitation
If you need to have access to Bill.Com, you will receive an invitation from the Bill.Com system itself. This will include instructions on how to set up your account and your password. Follow the instructions you receive to activate your account. It is very important that you also set up multi-factor authentication within the Bill.Com system in order for the integration to work correctly. Please see this help page from Bill.Com about how to do so:
Accept Nomination to Bank Account, (If you will be sending payments)
If you are sending payments through Bill.Com, you need to be invited to have access to each bank account you can send funds through. Once you receive that invitation you will need to go through a process of verifying your identity through answering a series of public information questions their system finds about you. Once you complete that process you will be able to send funds from the bank account.
Once you have your account set up with Bill.Com you then need to share your Bill.Com credentials with CharterAce. Log into Charter Ace and go to:

On the screen that comes up, enter your Bill.Com username and password. This is necessary so that when CharterAce access Bill.Com it will use your account instead of the generic account we have set up to work with them.
Before You Can Pay Bills
Before a particular user can pay bills with Bill.Com that user must be given permission in the school's settings. This can be done by going to:

Then look for the "BILLCM" section and find the setting which is titled "Users who can approve and send transactions to Bill.Com". Click on the list of names or the "Select Users" link on the right side of the column. Then select which users can send payments and press the "Submit
