The Student Registration system allows you to run your lottery automatically, and provides documentation to show that the lottery was done equitably and that all students had an equal chance of being selected for the school. We recommend you run the "lottery" as a way of accepting students, even if you have fewer students apply than seats available, as it is a quick way to move all of your students over to the active or waiting list.
To access the Lottery component of the registration system, go to the Lotteries section of the system. You will be presented with a list of the lotteries that have been scheduled or set up.

You can create a new lottery by clicking on the "Add New Lottery" button. This will give you a screen to set up the date you anticipate the lottery to be run, when the application deadline is for that lottery (students must apply on or before the date/time of the application deadline) and any additional comments you would like to add about the lottery.
This creates the lottery and adds it to your future lottery list. From there you will need to set up the lottery process. To learn more about the lottery settings, go to the "Lottery Setup" page.
